E-Natural Emollient Cream 130ml
An effective, natural alternative to E45-type creams which does not contain paraffin or other mineral oils. This natural emollient healing cream is multi-purpose. Suitable for post operative healing, mothers, babies, shaving rashes and much more.
Our E-Natural Emollient cream is an all-round skin cream suitable for the most sensitive skin. Now that NICE no longer recommend ‘aqueous’ creams to patients (1) this is a brilliant natural alternative. Does not contain paraffin, which has been linked to fires in the home (2). Useful for dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, sun-burn, scar tissue, and much more. Also good for post-operative care and being used very successfully by radiotherapy patients at the London Clinic.
A natural, multi-functional emollient cream that can be used to help soothe skin irritations, insect bites, dry skin and more. It is suitable for all skin types; including babies and children. Can also be used during pregnancy and on sore nipples whilst breast feeding. Many rich emollient creams contain liquid paraffin and other mineral oils. We choose to use natural Sunflower oil. For skin care you need a balance of the Omega 9 Oils (Oleic Acid) and Omega 3 & 6 oils (linoleic acid). Using natural, cold-pressed oils containing natural lipids and high levels of key fatty acids helps to maintain healthy skin condition and combat inflammatory skin disorders.
Chamomile Extract to calm and soothe irritation and help skin repair.
Topical applications of chamomile have been shown to be moderately effective in the treatment of atopic eczema (50). It was found to be about 60% as effective as 0.25% hydrocortisone cream (51). Roman chamomile may ease discomfort associated with eczema when applied as a cream containing chamomile extract. The Manzana type of chamomile is rich in active ingredients and does not exhibit chamomile-related allergenic potential. In a partially double-blind, randomized study carried out as a half-side comparison, chamomile cream was compared with 0.5% hydrocortisone cream and a placebo consisting only of vehicle cream in patients suffering from medium-degree atopic eczema (52). After 2 weeks of treatment, chamomile cream showed a slight superiority over 0.5% hydrocortisone, without the unfortunate side effects of hydrocortisone. Further research is needed to evaluate the usefulness of topical chamomile in managing eczema.
Cucumber extract to cool and sooth. The flesh of cucumbers is rich in vitamins A, C, and folic acid while the hard skin of cucumbers is rich in fiber and a range of minerals include magnesium, molybdenum, and potassium. Additionally, cucumber contains silica, a trace mineral that contributes greatly to strengthening our connective tissues. Cucumbers are known to heal many skin problems, under eye swelling and sunburn. Cucumbers also contain ascorbic and caffeic acids which prevent water loss, therefore cucumber is frequently applied topically to burns and dermatitis.
Sunflower Oil contains vitamins A,D, and E. Also calcium, zinc, potassium, iron and phosphorous minerals. It has a softening and moisturising effect on the skin and is beneficial for skin complaints, including bruises. It can also be helpful in cases of leg ulcers, all skin disorders, haemorrhoids, acne, and seborrhoea.
Apply generously to affected area as often as needed.
