Many of the products in this range contain sea buckthorn oil – an amazing oil containing over 190 bioactive compounds! Contrary to what its name suggests, sea buckthorn does not come from the sea. It’s actually derived from a shrub from the Elaeagnaceae family, which grows in the mountainous and coastal regions of Asia and Europe.  We have found it growing around the wild coasts of Cornwall too!

It is renowned in Ayurvedic medicine as far back as 5,000 BC. In 12 BC, the ancient Greeks used it to treat various health issues. In Tibet, Russia, Mongolia, and China, sea buckthorn is used to help relieve coughs, promote blood circulation, aid digestion, and alleviate pain.

Sea buckthorn oil is well-known today for its healing and rejuvenating effects on the skin. When used topically, it’s a great natural cleanser and exfoliator. It can also help heal burns, cuts, wounds, sunburn, rashes, and other types of skin damage by helping skin cells to regenerate.

Using sea buckthorn oil daily helps slow down the signs of ageing by promoting skin hydration, nourishing the tissues in your skin. Sea buckthorn oil may also be beneficial for rosacea, a chronic inflammatory condition that causes small red bumps on the face. It can even be helpful in the treatment and prevention of acne.

The products in this range have picked up over 20 awards and counting! (The other 10 have been picked up by our other two ranges).
