Our Organic Certification
There is no legal requirement for natural cosmetics and body care products to be certified as organic. However, Beyond Organic chooses to have their Sea-Buckthorn range certified organic. What does this mean? It means that every year a qualified inspector visits our workshop and thoroughly examines all our ingredients, processes and manufacturing procedures. They check the organic certification of our ingredients so that you, the customer, can be sure that we do what we say on the box!
Unfortunately, as you can imagine, this is a costly and time consuming exercise, so we have chosen our ever-popular Sea-Buckthorn range to begin with.
We are Certified with Organic Farmers & Growers in the UK (OF&G). They were the very first body to be approved by the government to carry out inspections and certify organic farmers and food producers. First launched in 1973 they have now grown and certify more than half the land in Britain as well as cosmetics and personal care products.
This standard is based on the EU Organic Regulation (EC 834/2007) and the Nordic Ecolabelling Standards.
OF&G is committed to being at the heart of the organic sector, serving and supporting every organic business in the UK.
The organic sector is constantly evolving, and OF&G is too.
